George Karapoulios

George Karapoulios is the Learning Lead at the CoE Talent and Development at METLEN Energy & Metals. With a career spanning over two decades, George's professional journey began as a Sales Representative at Imperial Tobacco Hellas. Demonstrating a consistent track record of success, he advanced through various roles, including Key Account, Sales Training Manager, and Area Sales Manager for Southern Greece.

In 2014, George transitioned to an international role as Academy Consultant at Imperial Brands' headquarters in Bristol, where he was responsible for overseeing the Group's 31 core markets across Europe, Africa, and Indochina. His expertise led him to a role in Marketing as the Market Planning Manager for Greece, Italy, and France. He later served as the Cluster Training and Development Manager for Southeast Europe, Israel, and Palestine.

After his successful tenure at Imperial Brands, George brought his passion for learning and development to Forthnet, where he served as the Senior Manager of Training and Development.

In 2021, he joined METLEN Energy & Metals within the Human Resources General Division, initially taking on the role of Talent Acquisition and Development Manager. As of January 2024, George has been appointed as the Learning Lead, where he continues to drive the company's talent development initiatives with a deep commitment to fostering growth and excellence.
